Porcelain Installation

I first discovered porcelain during art classes in middle school, and I was immediately captivated by its unique qualities. Porcelain is a remarkable ceramic material—light, translucent, and elegant—yet it possesses a strong and resilient structure. Originating in China around 2,000 years ago, it has since become deeply rooted in European culture, where schools dedicated to porcelain decoration are quite common.

For many years my practice focused on painting on porcelain, creating exquisitely detailed and decorative works. Driven by my fascination with the material's organic texture and versatility I have recently ventured into creating porcelain objects, This exhibition features a collection of works crafted from both white and colored porcelain, utilizing techniques like slip casting and hand building.

This collection reflects my interpretation of the world around us, where nature's 'microcosms' are composed of countless elements that repeat in harmonious patterns. It is this repetition that forms the foundation of structure and balance. I view rhythm and repetition as essential tools to help us understand our connection to a larger, interconnected world.
